Floor Boards up stairs

Did anyone put floor boards on 1st level? If so how noisy is it when you are down stairs? I was thinking since the kids room is at the front of the house the noise would not be a factor as the living area is at the back of the house!!! Building Laguna 40

Gave up the idea after I failed to find any house with floating boards to the upper floor around.
