Hi, We are building a double story house with timber floor on the ground, carpet on the 1st floor. Any recommendation for the supplier in Melbourne? How do you rate the hardwood and engineering board? We have 4 young active kids and need something durable, protection from the Mark, would engineering board good enough?

We have engineered timber and it is strong but can get marked. If you have active kids maybe tiles.. but it's really up to you and how you plan to take care. Laminate is tough!

Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity.
