QuickStep Classic vs Costco's Golden Select laminate

Currently we are in the market of replacing carpet with laminate flooring for our place (approximately 100m2 of coverage area) above the original timber flooring.

The laminate floor will be used in bedrooms, hallways, dining, and living area. Not in kitchen or any of the wet areas.

We have narrowed down to two options, and they are Costco's Golden Select, and Quick-Step Classic.

Both of those had the color and pattern that we like for our house.

Basically the main different between the two is the thickness. Costco is 12mm and QuickStep Classic is 7mm.

We could get them at about the same price, but is the 7mm on the QuickStep Classic too thin? This is probably the only worry we have with the QS classic.

Thanks heaps guys,
