Rugs in Melbourne?

Hey all,

Any recommendations for a good place to buy rugs from in Melbourne? I'm looking for modern wool rugs. Don't want to spend a fortune. Have seen some online, but would prefer to get them in person so I can check them out.

Any suggestions? Northern, western and inner city suburbs preferable, but will travel for a bargain!!

There is a large rug shop on Old Geelong Rd Hoppers Crossing. It is in the shopping area on the bend from Forsyth Rd.

I just bought some off Catchoftheday after my parents got one last year - it georeous! Really pleased with the outcome. But if I was after something with a pattern or where matching was important then I'd be with you about a shop.

One of the best places for rugs is Behruz Studio. But it won't be a bargain. Just go to see what is current in fantastic contemporary rug making so that you can make a comparison. It's a magical place but then I collect rugs (antique and new) so I'm slightly biased.
