How to repair buckled floating floor?

Just bought a place with poorly installed floating floor. It's buckled on the edges, very spongy to walk on.

If I remove the edge strips and trim a few mm off, will that stop the buckling?
You may have spare boards somewhere in your home. is it hybrid or vinyl?
Hmm, no idea what type ... I suspect vynil because it feels very flimsy compared with the hybrid ones in my previous home.

Unfortunately, no spares anywhere.
It's probably a laminate floor and has just been installed without adequate expansion gap around the edge, so in the warm weather it lifts the board when it expands.
As you say, if you can get some boards up along the edge and make sure there is a gap that should ease the pressure and let the floor drop back down flat.
Thanks, that's the motivation I needed to give it a try sooner rather than one day!
