I bought some curtains and curtain rods from IKEA the other day but couldn't get them fixed on the plaster walls. The screws are not able to hold the rod and curtain.
Some people say the brackets have to be fixed to the studs, but we won't be able to always get the correct positions to fix the brackets if we go by studs. Some people say we should fix the brackets on the architraves of the window, but wouldn't that look odd?
How have you installed your curtains at home?
