Hi I have a 10 year old cartridge filter (Monarch P4-200) for my 50KL pool. Its not catching the fine particles, I have swapped out some cartridge filters, but thinking it could be an issue with the water bypassing cartridges via internals, either the two filters not mating correctly or an issue with the bottom filter and the center pipe seating with spigot.
I have used clarifier in the water to combine the finer particles, but it just goes through the filters and reappears; heres the photos after the third try. I did clean the filters after each try and they do show some signs of dirt but somehow the majority of the particles are getting through the system.
Not sure if I should invest in another cartridge filter.
Thoughts?
i think that is a chemical issue not filter
that pool is green as
The pool had an algae problem after lots of rain and I shocked the pool. Probably the filter still shows that a bit. But trust me the brown stuff is residue that isn't being picked up by the filtration, even when directly vacuumed.

https://www.troublefreepool.com/forum.phpi havent been in a pool store in 5 years
the water is so clear at night you have to check to make sure the water is still there
phosphates are meaningless if the chlorine levels are correct
it is an excuse for the pool store to sell you something
Ok thanks mate, great site that. lots to read..
