Permantly securing sliding door closed

Hi All,

We’ve an alfresco area which has a sliding door on one wall, and a double stacked sliding door on the other wall.

We’d like to install a pool in this area and are wondering if it will comply with regulations to somehow permantly fix these two doors closed? We’re in WA.

If so, does anyone have any ideas how this is usually done?

It’s quite a large space, so replacing the frames would be a very significant cost.

Many thanks in advance and have a Happy New Year

Adam
