Just in the process of installing a pool, it has been completed (Fibreglass) and the finished height of the concrete surrounds is at the top of the house weep holes with tiles to go on top.
We have a 150mm gap between the house and the Concrete with a drain laid between the house and the concrete. If we overhang the Stone into the gap is there any regulations around the gap you need the weep hole to have? The AS 3700-2018 for Masonry Structures Section 4.7.2 has nothing about gaps above, below or in front of.
Looking around it says ideally you need to see them so you can inspect them etc, there is 50mm from the bottom of the weep hole to the top of the drain section.
Want to find out now before we leave a 50mm gap from the stone to the wall and find out we had to leave more and then rip up expensive stone to get the pool complied

Raised this with the Pool Company and the Private Certifier for the pool to find out what the story is...... Good times
Just for anyone else that comes across this as long as we do not cover them there is no issue so we have a 65mm gap between the tile and brick work
I think I’m facing the same issue. My place still under construction so I’m trying to troubleshoot. Do you happen to have any photos of how your solution looks?
This is what we did, as long as there is circulation for air it is ok

Is that gap adjacent to the house footings?
Will water pond in the gap
"I know air is free, no charge for the extra (humour) ....", but you better check your certified Engineering details/Notes

Did you put a drain in between wall and pavers? I understood you kept 65mm gap between wall and pavers? Also did you slope pavers away from walls? Please advise.

Weep holes are where they are because they are drain holes. You also have to think of the DPC that prevents rising damp, the cause of efflorescence.
