Hi any finished progress pictures and advise?

I will upload some more photos soon. I do have a couple on hand to upload now.

See Below..

There is:
1 - Water out (Skimmer Box)
2 - Filtered water in (Return)
3 - Spa Jets in - Airated in (Return)
4 - Solar heating out
5 - Solar heating in (Return)
6 - Blower Jets -in (Fan air in (In Seat Spa Blower Jets)

Top View of pool with shoring of the pool wall. I had to fill this gap in as I excavated the hole too large. Should have been only 3.5m wide but I made it 4m. I had to shore it up and then once the concrete pour was complete I had to fill it in with clean clean dirt. I then flooded it with the garden hose to make it compact like quick sand and then do it over and over again till it was fully filled.

You can see the gap below:

The pictures of the finished pool aren't loading for me?
Sorry about the Photos not loading they should work now.

Yep loaded now thanks. Is the pool complete or are you still working on it?
I needed a strip footing to support the pergola posts and future glass pool fence, so I hired an excavator from the local hire mob. The engineer drawings specified a footing that was 300mm wide and 400mm deep with 4 x Reo Rods of N16 in size.

Now for some digging fun

The Excavator came with 2 buckets 900mm and 300mm

Getting close to the edge was quite nerve wracking. Slowly slowly was the answer.

This unit does not look big but trust me the amount of damage it can do is tremendous. I think it was a 3 ton to memory.

Made myself a depth Stick. Marked out at 400mm

(Here is the correct Photo)

What a mess!

Here is where the hand shovel come into action.

Just in time for the rain - all the stormwater from the home went straight into the pool.

I layed some plasic down for the strip footing and layed boards down.

Raining....

N16 Rods x 4 nice and strong.

Ordered 2.4Cubic meters of Concrete from a local premix concrete company.

Had 3 wheel barrows working for 2 hours and here is the finished product.

Amazingly, the left over for this job was less than half a bucket of concrete.

I did the calculations but must admit it was more arse than class.

We have a Jakaranda tree in the back yard and it is flowing a purple rain.

Lot of work in a short amount of time but all ended well.

Now I can let it cure for a while under plastic. I need to now order the fence and this can take a while so the concrete strip footing will be more than cured by the time I arrange the fence.

We have chosen Travetine for the pool coping and pool paving area. It is 30mm thick in what is called a "French Lay" pattern. This means that the pavers come in 4 sizes.

200x200mm
200x400mm
400x400mm
400x600mm

We have also chosen our pool tile. The tiles are from a company called "Tiles on Bradman" here is South Australia. They are renown for supply quality tiles to the pool industry. The tile colour we selected is called "Harbour Blue"
