Help needed with splashback colour
can anyone please give me a quick advice, whtether red splashback would go nice with a dark brown kitchen. It is high gloss (Gloss Vinyl Wenge Colour) and benchtop is cesar stone - white with sparkles. If you think it goes good together, please advise the name of the colour
Every reply is appreciated
You obviously love red as I can see splashes of it in your kitchen.
I am also having Henna Red in my home, upstairs in the bar area ...cabinets in 2 pac (Henna Red) and also as my kitchen splashback (although I have a white kitchen)
I think it will be a fantastic feature for your kitchen and I dont think you will have any regrets.

Can I ask what’s there at the moment looks like glass?
I prefer the lighter one Deep Garnet, as I feel it will lift the dark cupboards instead of blending in which is what a darker colour will do. You will loose the impact of the colour.
Not sure about it in metallic, you’ll have to ask and see if the paint shop can mix that.
I doubt that is metallic, what you are seeing is the reflection of the glass.

Deep Garnet
Happy New Year to all!
I will go to dulux to see the colour you have recommended.
Do you think metallic finish is needed or deep garnet as it is will be good enough?

Happy New Year to you also!
No….you wont need the metallic finish, the colour itself will be all the impact you need.
Recently we had our kitchen renovated - cabinetry in Parchment two pac, benchtop in QQ Avalanche (off white with flecks - doesn't look like that on my screen though!) and the part I love most is the splashback - Dulux Belly Fire, a gorgeous red.
So I say go for it!!!! Go the red!
I'll post photos a)when I learn how and b) when we paint the walls!

Welcome Jane!
And to keep on topic - I find the glass so beautifully reflective that i don't really think metallic is necessary. It carries enough "oomph" on its own!

My husband however thinks that metallic silver would not be bad either, we had that colour in our previous house?
Any thoughts? Or suggestions for a better colour that will match better than red....????
I still like the red, I think it will work well.
I think you need the contrast of colour, silver will make the kitchen dull…….Sorry Husband……….

Hi Michelle,
My partner and I have settled on a teal colour for our splashback with white cabinetry and a QQ benchtop in Ice with dark floor tiles (yet to be determined).
You will have to imagine below replacing the red with a teal.
My main concern is regarding the green tinge in most glass splashbacks - will the teal colour be fine with this? I am leaning towards yes but I have been unable to find anywhere so far that I can test my theory.
Thanks

Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up.
