How to transform your balcony into an outdoor dining area

With property prices on the rise, it is becoming even harder to obtain a landed property with a garden. So, it is becoming a trend for people to transform their tiny balconies into outdoor dining areas.

Below are some interesting ideas you can use when considering to transform your balcony into an outdoor dining space:-

• If you want your balcony to look like a garden, install artificial grass on the floor.
• You can also lay out interlocking deck tiles on your balcony floor or combine them with artificial grass.
• Paint unwanted crates and use them as tables or shelves.
• Use railing planters to arrange pots neatly on your balcony railing. You can also plant herbs and flowers in garden containers or use vertical garden stands to add more greenery to your balcony.
• Add a small grill to your balcony space. If can, get a balcony grill as it saves space.
• Add a bench and place an outdoor bench cushion and other normal cushions so you can have your meals at your balcony.
• Place an indoor water fountain at your balcony for the sounds of water.

You may have a great outdoor space, but if you're overlooked by neighbors, this is an easy way to make it a little more secluded and embrace real beauty of design inspiration. All you need is a few pine boards, screws, wood stain, furring strip, and a cushion from IKEA (or anywhere else). If you don't like the look of the wooden paneling edging your balcony, you could grow plants and vines for added appeal.
