Electrical quote

Hi all

Got a quote for electrical work in the alfresco area. Approx 2k. Just looking a quick YAY or NAY? I mean does this price sound fair at first glance?

I'm so tied up to get comparison quotes.

Quote includes

Supply and install of 4 x LED fluros, each fluro with their own wall switch

Install only of 2 x fans
Supply and Install of associated timber to mount fans on.

Install only of 3 x wall lights - wiring and wall switches already done.

Supply & install of weatherproof GPO mounted high into the roof of the pergola with each switch of the GPO wired back to where the rest of the wall switches are.

Supply and install of all other wiring in between (average distance to switch location probably 5m)

No other wiring necessary and there is existing lighting and GPO circuits within 1m of the pergola which is what he'll take off from.

Just a high level glance.. Am I being taken for a ride?

I would say you could get it down approx 1000 Shekels
At a Guess it's a days work for 2

Really? You think I've been quoted almost double? Are they licensed electricians on airtasker?

There is actually a fair bit of work there. And it’s not as straight forward as it sounds. Running strapper wires back and forth to the sockets etc..

Always room for a discount, but be careful of what you get... plenty of cowboys out there who will be cheaper, but still cowboys..
