Finishing of Engineered Timber floors

We've had oak engineered floor boards installed. They were prefinished but a coating of the Bona finishing oil was also applied.

Originally I was informed the boards would be raw and the Bona oil was recommended as the finish to use. But when the shipment finally arrived it was prefinished. After installing the boards, the floor layer then applied the finishing oil coat. My concerns are the boards now have a plastic look and feel to them.

Do prefinished boards need an extra finishing coat applied?
No.
That is the whole point of them being pre-finished.
The manufacturers have produced a finish that is complete. You install and walk away.
