Septic tank question

Next question is whether one is allowed to do your own septic tank installation and drain field, with a registered plumber signing off on it, or does the plumber have to do it? If so, how much can one do yourself, ie dig the holes and trenches? I estimated 56 mtres of drain field pipe (100mm pipe) on a 3,000 litre septic tank with a baffle - does that sound in the ball park for sandy soil?
Best find a plumber first and have a chat to them.
sorry not very helpful that last post, but I am having the same ideas about my build, but in the end I am going to need a plumber and other trades to sign off on what I do, so I need to find some co operative trades first.
