Building inspector/surveyor change

Hi guys.

I'm an owner builder and are nearing my extension completion. How ever My building inspector/surveyor has lost his license and therefore his business.
I have not received any certificates for the 3 inspections all ready completed and passed.
The surveyor is not answering phone calls and emails.
Has anybody had experience with this or know what the next steps should be.
Thanks
That is a hard one. But first you will need to find another surveyor who is willing to take up your project. Depending on what your extension consists of, you should have all the relevant certificates from different trades on hand. Those would be needed when you appoint your new surveyor.
Once you have found one, you will need to lodge a change of surveyor to corresponding authority for your state. This will take a bit of time.
Contact VBA for help if you are in Victoria. If they deregistered BS they should be able to give you alternative.
