I want to have a server-type situation with multiple points for Foxtel and computer stuff. (I want to have the broadband modem hooked up in one place, and also the printer. I do have an Apple Airport Extreme base station that we can connect to wirelessly, but I still need the modem somewhere.) Is there a simple sytem that will do this?

How do I accomplish this?

Foxtel, printer and Airport are all completely different things which will require different cables.
You can definitely distribute Foxtel to multiple points from one central location and the same you can do with telephone(=broadband, printer) just using different cable.
Airport does not require any cabling at all, you can just connect it to the modem/router.
Even if you are not looking to invest in StarServe, you can still arrange all the cable in one location for convinience.
Any experienced cabler will know where/how to do it.
