Is plumbing/pipe issues covered under defects warranty?

Hi, I couldn’t find a similar topic. We have been in our home a little less than 2 years and our pipes have started making a hammering/knocking noise when the hot water is in use (we have gas hot water). Does anyone know if this is an issue my builder should look at under our warranty? We are in NSW. Thanks!
