Hello,
Oh, how I wish I had discovered this site at the beginning of the whole building process!
We are almost at the end of the building. However, I thought I'd share some photos of the end result. We ended up going with Cavalier Homes North West (Sydney) and were really happy. Contrary to what I have read on this site, we were actually able to negotiate many things with our builder!
I was apprehensive about going with such a small company but after reading some stories on this site, I have quickly realised that going with a well known company doesn't necessarily mean that you won't have problems!
I'm not sure quite how to post photos on here but if you click on the following link, I think it will take you to the photos that my husband put up for me on Facebook.

Welcome Sophiebear,
Nice house. I like the bricks and bathroom tiles in particular.
If you don't mind me asking, what bricks did you use?
Also, the two storey column to the left of the house looks interesting. Does it serve a function?
Cheers,
Casa

Hi Casa,
The bricks we used were "Smoke" which are part of the PGH range.
I think the storey column to the left of the house had something to do with load-bearing issues. I'm not entirely sure though!
I'm getting very excited because we get the keys early next week. All that has to be completed now is the landscaping...yipee!!!!!
Hi Sophiebear, I said the same thing, how I could have used this site a year ago, nice house you have there.

I think that they should make it compulsory to hand out this forum's address at the entry points to places like Homeworld! That would make certain builders lift their game!
