Owner Builder

Question - we have a builderand a fixed price contract and my husband is a sparky so he is doing the electrical work on the house. The bank has said because he is doing the electrical work it classifies us as owner builder. Does this sound right?
No. It makes him a contractor to the builder.
An owner builder has to get an OB licence and then act as the builder.
You have a builder who is using his licence and your husband is simply contracting to him just as he would any other builder.
Banks!!!
