I wonder if anyone can help with advice.

I wonder if anyone can give us advice.

We are planning to build the Madison 40 and had our first day at World Of Style this week. Staff were very helpful but we hit two major problems with our kitchen plans. I wonder if anyone else has had similar issue and is able to offer advice.

1. In previous discussions we had been led to understand that if we didn't want the included Fisher and Paykel kitchen appliance options, we would be able to choose our own at our cost and receive a credit for the options. At the WOS appointment we were told that the only options to Fisher and Paykel which are Miele which are extremely expensive and beyond our budget.

2. We had set our heart on the kitchen cabinets we saw at the Madison 40 display in Sunbury. The profile is called either Square Colonial or Shaker with satin finish in a colour called Paperbark. In previous visits to WOS we had explained we wanted the 'same as the Madison 40 display'. Staff looked up the specs on the system and told us that would be fine. At our WOS appointment PD discovered that the specs on the system are incorrect and that they cannot provide the kitchen as displayed. We don't like any of the other options.

We are extremely disappointed about both matters especially as we had made three trips to WOS before our appointment to prepare. We contacted our BC who responded that while she would like to help 'Obviously the cabinet design colours is not something I have any control over'.

I wonder if anyone else has met similar problems and if you can offer any advice.

If I were you I would get the Fisher and Paykel installed and then sell them after handover and have new appliances installed of your choosing.

In regards to the kitchen cabinets unless they are discontinued from the supplier you should push for them to allow you to select that colour. If it’s in a display home then they need to offer it to you as a selection. Call the supplier and check it is still available.

Go up to management if you need to.

Hey.....we upgraded both our Range Hood & Cook Top with PD to other F&P products

I wanted to choose my own ovens and PD were happy to credit me for the oven and I supply and install my own. You just need to ensure the power point that is installed will support your chosen ovens
