Cut and Fill Sand Pad

Hi Everyone,

Im a newbie here. But thought this would be the best arena to get the sort of advice i need.

We are building our "forever home"on a 506 Sqm sloping block.

It is 12 metre wide by 39 metres long.

The fall is f 10 metres at kerbside running to 7 metres at the back of the block.

So the builders have built up the pad to FFL. With a 1.5 metre extension of the sand pad.

The issue is we now have a 2 tier back area because of this. We knew this from the plans.

But the height of the sand pad from the upper to lower level is 1.5 metres.

I asked the builder if they intended to retain this as it runs the entire 12 metre width of our block.

I was told no, they have battered the slab to 1.1 specifications.

I So now it falls to us to incorporate this into landscaping.

Obviously we are not to impressed with this.

My question is does this pad need to be retained."

I have asked the builders directly and they will not say yes but they wont say no either. They certainly wont put anything in writing.

They just offer advice on options to deal with the extended pad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
