BL- Coral - Grange 26 - Week 21 - its like a lottery

Hi Everyone

I have been stalking everyones threads for ages and figured I might as well start my own.
Thanks to everyone on here for sharing ideas, experiences and other really helpful information. We are first time builders/ home owners building at Billys Lookout, Teralba, Newie. Our land doesn't register until Jan 2016. We have signed with Coral building one of their new designs Grange 26 and although I've read good and bad things about most builds on here we are hoping as Im sure everyone is that its mostly a good experience.
My motto is "Expect the worst and then we can only be pleasantly suprised" Would love to know of any other Billy's Lookout builds on here as Stage 1 and 3 are up and running.

Thanks B

GJ Gardner build beautiful homes, I looked at them here but the sales girl put me off and the price did too! lol. I feel so sorry when I see those of you having so many delays but you will definitely be in your new house before me if that makes you feel any better
Great to find somebody else that is building at Billys Lookout. We will be building a house in stage 4.

Your motto is similar to ours and I think it is the best atttitude to have with these projects.

Feel free to message me if you need any information, I am sure we could both benefit from a bit of information sharing along the way. We plan to start building around Jan/Feb time.

hello neighbour! Yaay there is another, I was beginning to wonder if we were the only ones from Billy's on here
Do you have a build thread? Who are you building with? Sorry on ph & so I don't know how to private message will ask you more Qs when I get on Mac

Hooray, you started a thread!

Rickyblake - have you started a thread yet? I'm kind of a neighbour too
Just checked your plan online. Looks great! Which facade have you picked? Are your plans in Council yet? Have they questioned the "heritage" aspect at all during the process? My neighbour (also building in Billy's L) said they had nothing about heritage come up, yet a few streets away in the old part Council heritage officer was all over our job.

Hey cat yes started a thread but nothing to tell
lol no no heritage stuff for BL as far as I know & the build a cure house def isn't heritage looking. We have chosen St Kilda facade. Not at council as land doesn't register until Jan /feb
just finalizing contracts so prob early next year. We loved the design but have chosen option D which has IT hub & larger WIR & made the pantry bigger. How did your concreting go? My hubby got a quote yest & it was really good & they quoted the higher end of scale

Ah yes I'm so forgetful, you had already told me some of that.
Come on and hurry up Lands! Can you believe nothing in Bunderra has started building yet. Crazy as I'm sure it's all sold. Owners must be furious.

I'll check your option D online tomorrkw. Larger pantry and WIR certainly sound great!

Haven't progressed with concrete as looks like the patio roof will blow my budget and we're not as rich as I thought :/ dammit
Lol it all comes down to money doesn't it?

I know I feel so sorry for all of them, I heard it was due to the developer not having the drainage /stormwater right for council but not sure how correct that is? Went for a coffee at the flying spanner the other day the owners were really lovely, such a cute little area, soon to be bombarded with BL residents

Land registration isn't too far away!! Hopefully it registers on time!!

Are the alfresco doors in your plan corner less stackers?

GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277
viewtopic.php?t=83643
I know Charlie it's exciting but scary all at the same time. Cornerless stackers are extra
& we couldn't fit them into the budget with all the other upgrades
we have widened the dining area, so our table fits
and that sliding door is a triple slider. I'd upload pic but I don't know how lol [IMG]http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161214/a3a24dedf615263a8e8d0c4abefa810d.jpg[/IMG
Not sure if it worked but here's the design

We drive past there twice a day, often more, but never stopped- bad resident! There's always lots of cars around it. Glad to hear it was good.

We've used/still use the post office/newsagent (closed now), the chicken shop, butcher (which is great), servo and the bottle-o (maybe too much..). Once BL all opens we're hoping like mad for an IGA
I'm also keen to see what effect it has on the Primary school as our kids will either go there or to a catholic school.

The St Kilda facade is lovely! Will you have a big front door like the one on their website? The website doesn't show option D. Will you post your final plan?
