Bayside Knockdown Rebuild

We are at the 'abolishment of services' stage. Both gas & electricity are with Dodo. Do we go directly to United Energy for both? Or through retailer also - due to final bill arrangement? What about Foxtel & Bigpond internet? Water?

can i please ask .. we also are in the middle of knock down rebuild..
and when exactly do you start the abolishment???? do you do it only once your loan is approved, and the council approval is granted for the build, or basically just as soon as possible? and before the demo..

we had all services fully abolished 3 months ago, and we're nowhere knocking down the old house yet...

You definitely need to abolish the utilities before demolition but you also need to apply for asset protection permit from your local council which can take up to 20 business just like the abolishment of the utilities. The abolishment our utilities was completed about 3 weeks ago and received our asset protection permit around the same time. Our demolition will start in the next 1/2 weeks after the asbestos removal. We have done all this whilst we are still the final stages of signing the contract with our builder.

Demo company should provide you with a checklist of things you need to have done prior to demo work we used a company CDE developments and they were absolutely amazing and great price too, best one after 5 quotes.
