Anyone building in the Ocean Road Estate, Coogee?

My partner and I have just bought a block in the Ocean Road Estate by Terranovis. Titles are not expected until March 2015. Has anyone else purchased here?

Yes I'm building there in Stage 1 Yakas Chase
Its a great area. New housing, well serviced by buses into Fremantle, close to Port Coogee Marina and importantly for me, close to Coogee beach!

Put offer down in May. When I made my offer, titles were advertised as being ready around June but they are known for being notoriously slow so I estimated Oct/Nov. However, they just had their final clearance meetings so hopefully will title Stage 1 in September. I think they started the same time as Eliza Ponds and that development is well ahead. However, I look forward to seeing the row of display homes go up near the sales office.

Yes, I have heard the title process has been extremely slow! Have you built before? We are first home owners so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been lurking and it's great to see people on here from the two adjoining estates.

My partner and I are building across the way in Eliza Ponds too. We have titles and are waiting for our building permit.

We went between the two estates for ages before deciding on EP, it's a very exciting time for the whole area

Hi IvyC - Which stage was your land release? I'm in 2B - titles are due anyday - so wonder if you are in the same release and have already got titles (or if all land is titled together in each release)

Sorry to ak11 for hijacking the Ocean Road thread by the way!

We are in Stage 2A, just over the other side of the pond. We got titles at the start of July (meant to be March), delayed due to clearance issues with those two huge Norfolk Island Pine Trees.

It doesn't seem like 2B has had any hold-ups? You must be super excited to be on the cusp of titles!

I cant speak for ak11, but these two estates combined are still tiny compared to some other estates around. To my mind, we are all going to pretty much be neighbours no matter which estate you are in!

Wow I really hope we don't have a four month delay - at least you are in the clear now and get cracking!
Yes we are pretty excited, getting information out of the selling agent has proved quite difficult, our builder is providing better advice regarding expected timing for titles!

Yes, dealing with said selling agent is quite the experience isn't it!

Who are you building with, if you don't mind? And are you moving to Spearwood from far away?

Absolutely fine. The two estates are so close together, we will all be neighbours. So it's great to share experiences on here! I am just glad I started the thread as there wasn't much on either of the estates

Who is everyone looking to build with? And are you looking at single or double storey?

I'm building one story probably with Content-Living. They have been great to deal with so far.

Yes it's great there is now a thread! We're on Marchesi Loop, so we're all literally just a stones throw from each other.

We took a drive through Ocean Road estate today, there are some great views up on the hill!

We're building single storey with Aspireon.

We are building in Eliza Ponds too... hoping for 2b titles to come through pretty soon.

IvyC are you building the Villina, we are building with Aspireon too.

We are building a Villina-Villette hybrid. Some of those features in the Villina were a bit pricy for us.

Hi all,

We have bought a block on Sokol Way in Ocean Road West. We bought back in june 2012 in the first release and we're expecting titles August last year... It's been a long frustrating wait, especially seeing how well the Eliza Ponds dev was organised.

We had plans with Dale Alcock done about 8 months ago but then when we got access to the block and stepped out the house foundations, realised we had no yard ( and by no yard I mean 1.9m to the back fence! )

We then decided to start all over again with two storey designs.

We are building with Aspireon aswell now, as we found them to provide more value for money in terms of $ per sqm of living when compared to the Apg, Webbies and peter standards of the building world.

Titles are due early September, however Landgate are about 50 days over their current 10 day service level... Hopefully this is due to our dev increasing their workload and we will get ours sooner rather than later.

Does anyone know what the park will end up looking like? It still looks like there is a pond going in?

The wait must be so frustrating! I really feel for you. Will be looking forward to following your build as a fellow Aspireon customer.

I have heard that Council is expecting Terranovis to submit their landscaping plans in the next week or so.
