Lynden Views Estate Kembla Grange 2526.

Hi there to all planning on building at Lynden Views.
My Wife and I are looking to build here with Masterton.
I have created a Facebook check-in page with a photo of the fig tree.
Check-in if you stop by.
Hopefully as a community we can come together and make a grat neighbourhood.
The West Dapto neighbourhood plan on Wollongong council website shows the area, roads and future expansion plans. Across on the west side of West Dapto road there are planned sporting fields and shops, on the hill there is an open land area with the trees staying as a home for birds. This should be a great area to live in the future.

Any information anyone gathers will be welcome here.

Brett
Hi Brett

I actually found this Facebook page yesterday and was wondering who would have set it up.
Rego at this stage I'm told is jan feb 2015 .. Hope it is all as planned! We are building mcdonald jones homes up there.
Hi Brett I'm told the people that have been on the land for the past few days were aboriginal council members looking for aboriginal artifacts and that they have finished up today.
Wow thanks Krissy39. I think that is unuasual or something I didn't think of. I'm glad it has been done and they can get on with he next stage.
Yeah not what I expected . He said its standard practice though.
Hi all,

Glad I found this, have spoken to a few of you already.

My partner and I are building in Lynden Views, we are going with MJH and the infinity one design.

I have found out that the application for the NBN is underway, but that gas will not be available due to something with the energy company and we will require gas bottles!

Happy to share in this thread as I dare say there will be a few of us here!
Welcome led-zep
Must say I won't be very happy with bottled gas.
That is not good news at all. We love gas cooking and instantaneous gas hot water here.
LPG is very expensive in comparison to natural gas at the moment. Is there any chance of natural gas to be available at all or has it been stopped by above?
Good to here the NBN has been applied for though.
Yeah we were disappointed to find out also, hopefully the energy company switches this on, i have no idea what is involved!

Lets all hope the process to build is relatively smooth unlike some of the other new estates that have popped up, including Brooks Reach.
Hi

Ive deposited on a package up there to and yeah found out the NBN has been applied for

very disappointing to know about the gas situation but - I wonder who can confirm this
Who is your package with ? I would contact them and ask if they haven't been told yet they can confirm it with the developer. Our guy we deal with for mcdonald jones was the one who informed us of this and I was quite shocked to find out there is actually a cost for us because there is no gas we have to pay extra for the bottle set up and all! Wasn't impressed
ill have to email the land sales guy and see what he can tell me
This is a problem buying off the plan before the land has even be turned. I've emailed to ask but talking to Masterton today and it want mentioned.
Let us know how you go, the guy from MJH was confident it will eventually get turned on just some issue with the energy company not supplying the pipes to the estate yet.
It is still 6 months or more away. It sounded like Jemena or who ever does the pipe work didn't want to go out there. But if you look at the west Dapto neighborhood plan there will be lots of homes eventually out there. Wongawilli is going forward too.
Has anyone seen the estate guidelines? That give you roof colours driveway colour etc.. Being a corner block we have to pay for a corner lot treatment ($3500) to break up the side wall and also in the guidelines we just found out corner lot fences must be made of rendered brick peir -colourbond panel- rendered brick peir- colourbond panel all the way along the road side. It's going to cost a fortune.
Krissy39 that's no good. I heard that there is a set fence colour of colourbond gully. I haven't been told of these other guidelines but we don't have a corner block.
I'd be interested in learning other guidelines where did you find those?
Also what is the driveway colour they have selected? That could influence our choice of house colours. The gully colour for the fence is a blueish grey I think from looking on the computer.
And what were the roof colours allowed?
If you give me an email adress I can sent you a copy of it. No blacks or reds meaning bricks or roofs .
Is your standard woodland and grey drive ways etc alloweD
Woodland grey is the darkest roof allowed no monument though which is what I like . Driveways the darkest colour is a medium grey colour.
