Anyone build with Alkira Homes, Sydney?

Is there anyone building /will build with Alkira Homes in Sydney ?

We are in the process of looking for a builder. We are looking at the Elyse. We are just trying to find information or reviews on how they perform. I have not found anything with substance yet. They seem to be a good company but am wanting to get some background. Is anyone building with Alkira???

We are also loking at Alkira, as I know Willcres is (we will be new next door neighbours )

We have both asked for a preliminary tender, I believe they take 2 weeks, so I still have another week to go, all though I beleieve Willcres is ahead of me, not sure whether she has received hers as yet.
As for quality, we have a good friend who is a builder and he has said their work is good, I also have a friend whose brother does the excavations and he also has said they build a good home.
The current luxury inclusions package is an absolute bargain.
We have seen a home they a building at Bella Vista, Alkira showed us through, so that we could have a look at their workmanship etc, and I have to say I was impressed.

One thing I was impressed with is a computer program they have, you can call at anytime to find out where your build is up to, in regards to trradesman being booked, materials being ordered etc I thought it was a great idea.

I dont think it matters who you go with, their will be issues along the way, just hope that they are minimal and dealt with quickly

I haven't received my tender, but will let you know.
I'm going to see their house built in Bella Vista too this week, hopefully...the weather has been really bad yesterday.

Did you look other builder too?

Thanks for the information.

We have three that we are looking at Alkira / Metricon and Allworth.

We are going to get some preliminary tenders from each to compare.

I agree with you that there will be issues along the way no matter who you build with. From all the reading I have been doing it is likley that there is going to be a problem.

What builder besides allworth and alkira are you looking at.
You may have to pm me if it puts the stars back in.

Do the other builders give you the prelim tender for free??

Willcres and I are also looking at Kurmond. Not sure if you have heard of them, but they have some good designs

We are building around North Rocks.

The other builder is Mertricon. I do not believe they charge for a prelimianry tender.

I will have a look at Kurmond.

Alkira will get back to us in 2 weeks as well.

I had the worst experience with Alkira Homes Sydney, Would not even get them to build my dog kennel.
