Insurance Certificate for new house in victoria

Hi alls

My bank need me to provide Insurance Certificate for final payment.

How can I organized that because my builder say the have been provide me already.

please give me the answer for my first home

Thanks

pete
I believe the bank requires you to have organised the insurance for the house, and they need a certificate for this. Not the building insurance that the builder originally organised. They want to make sure that if anything were to happen to your house eg fire, that you are covered by insurance.
The bank would have already received the Building Insurance Cert you where thinking about. Carlswil could be right in saying they need your home insurance details. My builder has a standard house insurance policy that they give for 6 months after settlement.

Write back with an update.
