Custom Design floor plan thread post them here!!

Hi Everyone post your custom design floor plans here. If you have a sketch or just some ideas and cant quite get them together post away and lets see if we can all help bring your ideas and sketches to life and make them work for you. There are alot of people that are also willing to contribute so post away and lets see your sketches, plans & ideas.

I really appreciate your help.

My flooroplan is fine and doesnt need changes. but what i am worrying about is the colours of my house i dont know if they will work together so if you have someone with similar colours please send me

Thanks Nathan, and somewoman who helped me design it.
We have an acre and I wanted the house to evolve into a flat and a house in the future (so my kids can
come and stay/ live and be independant)
my laundry would be the new kitchen, the slider would be locked and the washing machine would be
in the bathroom near the master (in a little cupboard there) for the house.
and one of the bedrooms would be a lounge/ dining with a slider door for access.

I had drawn up the plan and it came to 225 sqs mets. GREAT I thought..I can afford 230 sq mets
then Nathan drew it up for me and with external walls and internal walls...it was 256sq mets!!! ha ha

Thank goodness he did it before I went somewhere really expensive to get it drawn up and reaslied I couldnt
afford to build it.

So I have re done it to be 230 sq mets including externals!! and so Nathan will work his magic
again ( he really is very good) and I can then get rough quotes from builders to build it for me

Whoops I forgot about walls with my plan! That might add a bit extra

I know what you mean kiwi, I was aiming around the 270m2 mark and this was meant to be my downsized house, but when drawn properly it's 285m2

This is the plan for our block I've been working on for about 5 months. I worked in Adobe Illustrator because that's my forte, I was able to have a friend redraw properly in CAD this week to pass onto the builders.



And the block (looking exactly north-east from the street).



Any comments would be great!

There was another plan added on to the old version of this thread - I was REALLY interested in taking a look over it but just haven't had the chance to as yet. I'm feeling rather sad that the old thread is lost. Whoever it was that posted their plan, please re-post!!

neil_se - I've been able to see it since the very first post. I'm not sure why others can't, but I suspect that it is not necessarily something that anybody is doing wrong.

It's a wonderful plan - very unique and very interesting. If you need to cut down on the size, you could probably quite easily trim a little off of some of your areas without coming to too much grief for it - your spaces are huge. I suspect that one will be an absolute pleasure to live in!

He sent me an email yesterday so i told him about the new thread this morning hopefully they will be up soon. He is sending me a couple of shots of his block with the valley views looking forward to seeing them. Will ask him if i can put them up when he sends them through.

Thanks somewoman, it's reassuring to hear others comments. I've always loved property and have had a lot of fun playing with the design. Now the painful bit of getting the build started...

Here's my site plan, block photos and current concept. (LOT 24) I'm trying to alter the plan to have the living areas at the front of the block overlooking a pool and views down into the distance (rather than currently focussed towards the rainforest at the rear

Neil I could view your plan in your album looks fantastic. As somewomen mentioned its very unique i love the design you did a fantastic job designing it and everything works in well together. Great job.... Looking forward to following the progress of your build.
