Our home.. The Caraway 175 from JG King

Really love the postings on this website. Thought of sharing my journey as well. We are building with JG King based on the Caraway 175 template in Central Park Craigieburn. There has been some modification whereby we moved the master bedroom to the rear, and have the study at the front. The building administration process has taken far too long (>6months) and at last, the start date has finally commenced on 15th June.

here you go...

The master bedroom has been moved to the back and had the front replaced as a study. We have actually stolen a bit of room from the study and added them to bed 2 and 3. Also added a pantry between the meals and family, and decided to give ourselves a treat by putting an alfresco at the rear.
love your alterations
i am personally a fan of the main bed being close to at least one of the minor beds - maybe i'm paranoid
the kitchen looks very functional aswell
Just to share some of our color selections with you lads..
Roof tiles by Tudor - Baramundi color, bricks are from Selkirk (Macedon). Initially it was Musket Haze, but unfortunately it ran out of stock and the office gave us a free upgrade.

Garage door - Panelmasta Caprice on paperbark color

Paperbark for gutters, fascia, downpipes, flyscreens, aluminium windows...and more

Portico front render - Pinecone

Kitchen glass splashback - Sea Elephant

Double strip timber flooring by Cezanne for all beds and study - Northern box

Kitchen, bathroom and ensuite cupboards - Laminex flint finish - Espresso

except for 2 overhead above the rangehood - Laminex flint finish - classic beige
going a bit of artistic feel ..

Kitchen, bathroom and ensuite benchtop - Formica velour finish - French sandstone

Milkweed for all internal walls

Whitewash - internal woodworks

Tiles for the non wet areas - Luxe creme 330x330

Tiles for wet areas - Luxe Anthracite 330x330

Walls tiles for bathroom and ensuite - Gloss white wavy 200x300

Tile feature - Listello Crocodile Mangrove Grey

Till then.. will keep u lads updated

Alex,

Are you on Corringa Way ? Because I think I've seen your house getting built.

We'll be building on the opposite side of the road

There were still heaps of left over bricks left on the site and have informed our SS that we are going to keep them. Thought of using them as the flooring to our shed.

Hi Alex,

I knew it
Yeah, neither of the lots are ours. We'll probably start building by the end of the month. The drawing has been sent to the developers, and let's hope it won't take long.

I'll let you know once we start the build. Your house looks great

Watching this with interest now as I have started the process with JG King for a Caraway 165. Hopefully the admin is a bit quicker, as they are hoping to have contracts ready this time next month for the current stage of the grant

So much progress in a month, great to see.

Hi Richo, where are you building at? Yeah, it took us almost 6 months for the contracts to be ready. The fun part really starts when it is due for color and tiles selection... then the real build kicks in..

From most threads on this forum, JG King normally completes the build within 4 months.. which is marvelous. So sit tight and enjoy the ride.

I’ve heard the same about ABC. Apparently they’re quick, but still take the time to do proper prep before painting.
