Hi All,
We a just about to sign our contract with Adenbrook It's a 2 story home and with have a smooth render & paint finish. We can choose eith brick or Besser blocks.....at no difference in price.
Does either have advantages over the other? Thermal or strength qualities?? If using Besser blocks should they be filled with cement when being laid??? Some have told us that cement render sticks to Besser blocks better than brick...is this true??
I must say, this site has been extremely helpful, so thankyou to all those responsible.

there is a standard besser block wall pdf somewhere online with footing sizes, also have a look at dincel.
