Frame without roof for 2 months, mould and water pooling

Page 1 of 1
Hello All,
We are at the stage when all the brickwork has been finished.
However, half of the house still not being covered with the roof for 2 months.
Water is pooling and we can clearly see mould and some weeds sprouting next to the frame.

1. Are we in position to demand installation of the roof as soon as possible and removing the mould etc?

Builder is also not happy with us visiting the site and taking pictures and thereatend us with some actions.

2. Can we actually visit the site to take the photos after working hours without being accompanied by the builder representative?

We were under impression that we can attenrd the site without inteferieng with the building process.

Thanks All.
This certainly doesn't look good. I would be engaging with an independent inspector to have a look at this.

As for the unscheduled site visits, most builders are quite aware owners access their build sites numerous times afterhours during the build cycle which is normally not an issue. It all comes down to the type of relationship you have with your builder.

Your build contract will have a clause in it similar to the below which stipulates an owner (or owner's agent) has to provide notice to the builder of intent to access the site and provide the reason.

13.3 The Owner, the Owner's agents and officers of the lending body.
(a) must not hinder:
(i) the Builder's access or possession of the site; or
(ii) the progress of the building works;
(b) must not:
(i) make inquiry of;
(ii) issue directions to; or
(iii) give instructions to,
the Builder's workers or subcontractors. Communication must only be with the
Builder's nominated person; and
(c) may only have access to the building works at reasonable times and after
giving reasonable prior notice for the purposes of inspecting the progress of
the building works.

Need more photos from around the house including your gutters. We have had 3 of the wettest years in a row for some time so that wouldn't be helping
