white mortar charges

Hi

We have received a quote to upgrade to white mortar which is more than double to what we had hoped (quoted just over $10k). Other builders had quoted $3-4k (approx 185m2 bricks). We asked the builder if this was a mistake and they said no.

Just wondering if anyone can share their cost for using white mortar and approx m2 bricks that were used?

We hope if we can go back and show that this cost is not the norm they may reconsider?
Ours was about 1-1.5k. Not sure on m2, but it's a large lowset

I don't think your builder will accept hearsay from the internet though...
lol 10K. it was a 830 upgrade if we chose to take it. 32 sq single story. Your builder is having a lend.
