Hi Marina,

Thank you, we love them also!!

I'm so sorry but i actually don't know the name of them as we originally had chosen tiles (exactly) the same, and they got our order wrong and we ended up receiving brown tiles! so we had to go back and re-order. These were the tiles we chose, and i didn't get the name of them.

We got them from Prestige Tiles in Shepparton, Victoria.

hope this helps
....
Hi Gootza,
Not to worry, and thanks for checking. The most important thing, is that they look lovely

Thanks,
Marina
Hi marina, I just realised we kept the remaining tiles, so next time we go yo the house I can let you know the name on the boxes

Hi gootza,
We are also first home owners / builders and are building the Oxford with Dennis Family.
Our slab was poured last week very exciting

Having never seen the house finished before I was wondering if you could post some more photos of your house so I can get a bit more of an idea our colours seem to be very similar, any tips or hints with the build would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Simone
Hey,

How's the new house going? Have you had any issues?

Sallie.

Hi Simone! Congratulations! We love the Oxford, it's the perfect first home for us!

I actually haven't taken many pics since we put all curtains etc up! i will have to get onto that haha

Here's a couple of recent ones:

We had an excellent experience with DFH here in Shepparton, no complaints whatsoever.

The only advice i could possibly give is to ask as many questions as you can! that's about it really!

Hey,

How's the new house going? Have you had any issues?

Sallie.

Hi Sallie,

It's fantastic, we're so in love!

No major issues at all so far, the only thing i could mention is the doors getting stuck sometimes but that's obviously quite normal with the house settling in etc, we're doing really well!

How about you guys?
Thanks so much for adding the photos, looks amazing.
Hope your enjoying it.
Hi everyone! it's been a long time!

Still loving our home, and still working on it!

We feel like we've done so much more to the house although it doesn't seem that way by looking at pictures
We have nearly finished our front yard. Here are some (crappy) pics:

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x271/gootza/Mobile%20Uploads/image_3.jpeg

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x271/gootza/Mobile%20Uploads/image_7.jpeg

We've now starting building our alfresco area. Hope to be finished by the end of Feb or so.

The area is 5.5x5m. The slab was poured a few months ago and it is now framed, the electrical wiring has been installed. The polystyrene walls are up! (I was so blown back with how stable this stuff is! I actually had no idea that houses were built with this stuff! (typical
) The polystyrene has been rendered and painted in the colour "Monument". The internal cement sheeting walls are up and we have applied an undercoat. The interior walls will be a textured paint (almost like a render) in the shade "Beige Royal" by Dulux. We have used Mitek Hi-Ten in the colour "Monument" for the roof. The guttering has also been completed. We are now just waiting for the flashing to arrive to complete the exterior.

Here are a few pictures:

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x271/gootza/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpeg

We are using KD Hardwood for the framing around the two open sides. Much like door frames. We have stained them "Black Japan" by Feast Watson. LOVEEE this stain. OMG. It is just perfect!
. Here is a couple of pics:

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x271/gootza/Mobile%20Uploads/image_4.jpeg

These are the tiles:

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x271/gootza/Mobile%20Uploads/image_6.jpeg

We have a fan and four downlights which will be installed. The floor will be tiled with 300x600 tiles in a light grey/charcoal colour.

NOW...... we really wanted to have a timber ceiling, whether it be pine lining (stained in "Black Japan") or some other timber (obviously don't want to spend a fortune!). But now we're not so sure.... thinking it may just be easier to cement sheet it like the internal walls? Does anybody have experience with timber lining an alfresco ceiling? any tips you could give us? What timber did you use etc?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to all responses.

Your house looks beautiful. Was there anything major that you didn't pick up on that you had to raise with DFH? Any tips would be helpful as we are building with DFH this year.

I think the timber ceiling would look very nice and I wouldnt mind knowing how it's done too for my future home

Thank you! We are very proud of what we have achieved for a couple of noobs! we have put a lot of effort into our home and and with not really knowing exactly what we're doing it all seems to turn out perfectly! touch wood

To be honest, we had absolutely no complaints whatsoever building with DFH! We had a really straight forward and smooth experience with them and 100% would recommend them to anybody. Every person we were involved with was fantastic! We have only ever heard great things about DFH here in Shepparton and our experience tops it off.
Thanks it's always nice to hear of good experiences. I cant wait for ours to start, probably wont be til apr-may so still got a few months of research. If you do go with the timber ceilings, would you be able to let me know whether it was too hard to diy? Thanks
No worries at all! Yes of course I will! Good luck with everything, I hope your experience is as pleasant as ours was.
