I had slab down a month after AC27, he had prestart in Aug and me in Oct.
It was 16 weeks from signing with them initially to slab down
So the timing wasn't much different. Craig, Leanne were in negotiations around the same time, but Leanne had to wait for er titles to come through in Jan before they could proceed Process def seem to ave slowed down in admin
My first build with them I signed up and moved in 11 months later. 9 months between land titles and handover (including Xmas break)
It's been 4 months since our soil test (which is what gets all paperwork starting). If I compare to our last build 4 months from soil test we had started brickwork.
Little depressing to think of it but so very hard not to compare since it was our main deciding factor choosing to build a second house with them
But I'm trying to get positive now and try move on. Well least til next week anyways. Enjoy some stress free days
I'm now considering a grey metallic splashback haha. Will decide later down track
Well that's funny because my splashback is 'Clarity Gun Metal' but I went with a teal colour in the laundry called 'Cool Breeze' because I liked both but was too chicken to have teal in my kitchen
.
Went to WA glosskote yesterday. I saw your cool breeze colour (lighter greener compared to one we are considering - Bottle Blue). Got 3 samples - bauxite (too dark when vertical), scrumpy (too light) and Mercury which is same depth as gunmetal but doesn't have the blue look to it.
So we are now deciding between Blue bottle and Mercury. Leaning towards Mercury as easier to do my green touches etc plus I like the metallic . Plenty time to decide though
Our neighbours brickwork is finished so we went for a little walk around their house. Quite a nice floorplan and the façade is very nice too (New Gen Infinity). Was nice to see the home theatre and alfresco aren't on our side
Called prestart girl today to see if file has e logged with drafting. It has!!!! Yay
She even said at end on phone I can give a big sigh of relief so I'm sure someone has been on her case haha.
Woohoo now we just wait for final plans then bring on scheduling!
Have updated first page will all updated changes etc as can be hard find amoung all the pages
Thats good news for you Leanne! Hope it all goes smoothly now
Excellent news
I wish I had researched all my colours thoroughly beforehand, I had a fairly good idea but went into my colours meeting fairly blind now that I look back.
We should have council approval by end of week. Once I do ill ask how much longer til final plans. Eeeeek cant wait to start!
I spent a lot time choosing colours. Spent the 6 months leading up to prestart deciding and changing and so on
That is great Leanne. You seem to go so fast through this process. I am jealous.
Have you got all the final colours?
Fast?!? Hahaha i wouldn't say it's been quick
Yeah I did all my colour selection etc at prestart about a month ago. I've updated first page with my choices
Eta: just realized who you are haha. Hello
We have been waiting over 16 months to get plans through council so compared to us it is flying. You are taking about starting soon and we still have months of drawings and amendments and advertising etc ahead. Yawn
Oh yeah that's a while. Perhaps cause its an extension not a new build? Hopefully it doesn't drag on too long
Having another down day
Sick of waiting for my builder. My left neighbour is bout get roof frame and my right neighbour brickwork bout to start. We secured our lot before them and still like 6 weeks away from a slab.
Sick of lot being used as a parking lot for everyone else's build
Another 4 footings/slabs went down today in my stage.
You poor thing
Next they'll be using it as a dump site. I still have pallets on my block from the neighbours paving
Luckily they have been pretty clean. They've dumped sand and bricks whilst building but remove them once done. Just I wish they couldn't park on it cause my house was being built. Not cause its vacant sitting there empty not even a sign or anything
I hope it starts to move VERY soon!!
Sorry to hear about all your dramas, hopefully things get started soon *fingers crossed*
I like your colour selections
Worth the wait, work on that moto
Oh I love my house already. All the more reason I so badly want them to start haha
It's more watching all other houses go up and only reason mine isn't is my builder
hopefully wont be to long Leanne our has been in drafting now for about 7 weeks,
I do like your block with the planters, I know where you are we stopped up there to get a view of the estate last time I went to see our block, as we are right down the bottom end of the hill in stage 1
Thank you
I received my signed addenda today and an email confirming management has prioritized our file for 'prestart changes drafting'. Hoping to get them as birthday present. Would be lovely haha (27th)
Also got told we now have council approval/building permit!
Whilst that's great news it's also a tiny bit sad as if we had final plans we would go to scheduling this week. But shouldn't be too much longer
