Charlie are you in Grafton Hun?

Went to take some friends through today and saw they must have finished the frame yesterday as it's all finished and cleaned up!
I am assuming the roof is next although I know nothing about building haha

We're building just outside of casino, about an hour north of Grafton but we are building with the GJ Gardner Grafton Office

Oh how fab, taking friends through your frames

Looking good!

I love your colour selections, can't wait to see it all finished! That splashback is gorgeous.
Thanks guys, still second guessing my colours but hoping for the best :-p
so update we have fascia and gutters, house is wrapped, some bricks delivered, I freaked out as the were not our colour but then relised they are probably the bricks that will be rendered phew lol
the roof is ready to go on, they said we will be getting weekly updates now wohoo

Wow how fast is it going up? So exciting

Wow how fast is it going up? So exciting

We started before i first posted on the 9th so just over 5 weeks

they have slowed down a bit and had a few delays the past couple of week and have a ton of rain coming so will see how it pans out, would just love the roof on!

we have a steel frame and now there are exposed drill holes where they took the scaffolding out and it has been raining, anyone know if we should be worrying about rust? we did spray with something to stop it but there was sooo many holes i know we would have missed some.
That's awesome! Rain does ruin the building mojo though. Lots of ppl with their builds stalled by the rain it seems!

We are already starting to prepare for a baby without a new home... but we could still be surprised!
So many surprises today, they beat the rain for the roof yay!
And found our windows bath and front door!
I don't know why but man seeing that door excited me to no end ?
My poor house looks like a wet mosh pit though haha

Awesome progress. It already looks like a beautiful home. But I'm sure you won't appreciate the draught if they leave it looking beautiful like it is right now! Let's just make more beautiful by finishing it quickly from here as well!

You could still have it finished as a giant steel framed camping tent?
Hahaha yes wouldn't like to be in there at night, might be a bit cold ?
A lot got done yesterday, doors and windows in, ducted wired through and baths in, went to take the kids through today as they were hanging to see the doors but there was an electrition there, we waiting on the other side of the road for 30mins like total stalkers but he won this time ? Will take the kids on the weekend ?

Looks even more beautiful! Windows and door will help with keeping down the draught! Hope your kids will enjoy having a look around!
I can't wait to get our son interested in the build again. It's not very exciting that he just keeps seeing dirt and a retaining wall everyday!
Oh totally get that! I remember the whole first parts I would get so excited and they would just look at me and mum it's just dirt, it's just a slab and whinge every time I said let's go look at the house ? Now they can see it's changing to a house the excitement is back so won't be long and your little man will be excited too

Do you have a start date?

They have put all our ducted and electrical in and put one door in the garage so I think they are getting ready to lock us out noooo ?
How have I missed this thread? We are about to start building on an acre in New Beith and are currently renting in Yarrabilba (hi neighbour
). Our plan is quite similar to yours. Can't wait to follow the rest of the build. We are waiting for building approval and then should be good to go once that comes through

Yeah Start date was in February when they started the scraped the lot and then started retaining wall.
And today, wife saw them finally put in the rest of fill!
Which means, SLAB NEXT!??
hopefully before the rain but we shall see how Debbie affects the weather down our end...

ah lock out... that sounds like the next painful experience, other than waiting for slab and frames to go up! haha...
How are you getting on with all the rain? So many road closures and flooded areas! I went past your house the other day (in a curious, non-stalkerish way lol). It is huge! How long is it? I am keen to see what ours looks like on our block.
Second that ^ My parents are still out at Buccan and I remember how badly it floods. Hope it doesn't slow down your progress too much!

I am not sure as our street floods so wasn't risking going out on the roads today, but i will be messaging my neighbor in the morning for an update, hopefully it's not bad!
Hope you and your family are ok! Sounds like Jimboomba copped a bit. Luckily on high ground it sounds but nonetheless other effects of floods can occur other than wet houses and ruined stuff..
Update miller road finally went down today so could get out to the house and all is fine there, didn't look like any flooding that I could see although our backyard was squishy haha
