Thanks Malsannie, so far our build has been fantastic and Celebrations have been wonderful to us. My CLO is a dream and if I ever build again I will try and build with her. I feel so forunate compared to some others on here who have horror stories with their builders, I'm sure you've read some?
Have you chosen your fireplace yet? I've been fireplace shopping and found soooo many beautiful ones. I love how you've built yours into the wall
There are very many nice ones, we decided on the same one Asha chose - we had limited time to make a decision to get measurements so we could adjust the plans. I reckoned she'd done all the legwork so all would be good hehe - copycat me! I just hope they're still available by next year which is probably earliest we'll have it installed. It is the Regency Bellerive - here is a link

http://www.regency-fire.com.au/Products ... erive.aspxGood on you for copying Asha. You have sooooo much to research from afar why bother doing extra work that you don't need too
I've found a couple of free standing ones that I love but I'm not sure if they're big enough? I've found a more traditional fireplace that will heat most of my house but the ones I really love heat a smaller space, or not as much as I probably need
I'm going to wait until I move down there to decide as I would like to get a feel for the house first?
Because I'm bored I've loaded a photo of my dream fireplace
And this is a similar one in their range that I'm thinking about buying as the above one just won't suit our space and no doubt will be out of our price range?
And because I'm in a sharing mood I just screen shot this photo to show you. Aren't these products just divine!!! I love them
They're by a Melbourne company called Oblica and a company in Bunbury has just starting stocking them
The kitchen looks great JMCL! Our kitchen will always be the hub of the house so getting it installed is defo the most exciting part. Those colours are beautiful, have you had any thought on what lights and accessories you would like in your kitchen?
I think the copper look would work well with your colours:

I absolutely love those fire places, they don't take up much room, look amazing and you can also still clean underneath them
Those fireplaces are STUNNING! I've seen them on pinterest and elsewhere and they're amazing but I just assumed they'd be out of my league
I hope you will have one would love to see it in a real setting!
Your front render colour looks lovely too and your kitchen nice and spacious - you're so close now aren't you!!
Yay its all looking so good. Not long now. Progressing well. Cant wait to see more.
Oh my gosh check out those fireplaces! So cool
Looking great JMCL! It's so exciting seeing the cabinets going in!
Hi Lozel,
Sorry it's taken so long to respond! My whole family has been down with an awful diarrhoea bug and my baby has been in hospital so life has been crazy full on!
I agree, the kitchen will always be our main hub of the home and is the most exciting part at the moment.
I LOVE copper, it's a stunning metallic shade and I really thought about what colours to put in the kitchen but I decided to go with silver. From the beginning of our build I decided on these pendants
I love them

Because our move is delayed and we now need to fly to Perth as a family for my sister's wedding, we will have to use some money from my furniture budget

They are stunning, I love them! Let's hope I can somehow make one work in my living room? My fingers are crossed I can
Thanks for the lovely comments about my render too

I know! I keep having second thoughts about everything but it's look gorgeous so far
Thanks for all your kind comments everyone
Have just read through your thread. Your house looks great!
Oh My!!! I love those lights and stools!! I always find when you need to sacrifice these purchases for something else and you need to save to buy them, you always appreciate them a lot more. I can not wait to see your whole build come together.
Enjoy the wedding!
Love love love those pendants. They will look amazing in ur kitchen

Thanks ColleyCrew! I can't wait till I can finally see it in person
Thanks for taking the time to read thru my thread
Lozel, you are sooooo right about sacrificing! I keep telling myself that this home needs to be liveable and relaxing, not a show home
I feel like I've sacrificed so much to get this house that it's too precious to live in, lol.
A few friends have moved into their new builds recently and I'm loving all their pictures. One of them told me today that she feels like they're living in a hotel and she will have to leave soon, lol. This house will be very luxurious for us.
I love the stools and pendants too! As soon as I saw them I knew they were the ones and I've never looked for anything else
Love love love those pendants. They will look amazing in ur kitchen
Thankyou! I think they will look perfect
We really do have similar tastes livpal5
Loving your kitchen, your selections and the fireplace...yes love the fireplace idea very midcentury
Things seem to be happening quickly for you and here's hoping you get a PCI date soon
That laundry is huuuuuuge, love it

Thankyou for your kind words! Those fireplaces are gorgeous hey? I'm not sure if I will get one yet or not because even they're largest one doesn't heat a big space like our house
Let's hope I win lotto and can afford two or three of them, lol
That laundry is huuuuuuge, love it
Kellie_87, that laundry is 4 metres long and the benchtop is 3.86metres long to be exact. My washing in my current house is currently sitting on my lounge waiting to be folded tonight after dinner. I won't have to do that anymore in my new house
And I can probably fit a box/container for each family member in the cupboards so they can carry and put their own washing away? Let's hope im that organised anyway
4m, wow! Sounds amazing - I'm a sucker for a well organised laundry lol
Well the builder sent a few photos today and here are a couple of them
This is the bathroom
