Colour questions?

Lorri
Hi I am trying to decide whether to go for light or dark flooring, will be tiles in kitchen and dining hallway and entry bathrooms etc. Kitchen cupboards are white gloss with red rivergum laminate tops so I was thinking that creams and light coffee colours won't go with that?

Hi Lorri,

What colour are you using on your walls?

Hi Michelle
I'm looking for a light grey wall colour for all rooms. Floors will be belga grey tiles. Window trim is woodland grey. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi sawtelljai,

Go get a sample pot of Dulux Milton Moon 1/2....if your after a really light grey, then 1/4. Its a nice pure grey.
Hope this helps... have fun!!

Thank you. I'll definitely look into that.
That's another problem, hubby want different colours though the house, the builder told him we can use 3 colours so guess what we are! They are Dulux colours, it will be 3 out of these ones.

Hi Michelle,

Just wanting to know what colour you suggest in my bathroom. I'm going for the light beachy/hamptons look. Floor tile is a light "sand"colour, walls are tiled to 1.2m in a white tile and laminate is oyster linea riven finish. Should I just stick with a shade of white on the walls?? My windows are white and my doors and frames are vivid white. The remainder of the house will be painted beige Royal half or quarter strength or similar I think

Hi Pinkjam....I'd look at either pure white or if you go with the Beige Royal, then Beige Royal 1/4.

Hi Michelle, the colours don't look like a lime green on the laptop screen, they look pale, we have a problem that we are in Uk and will be for a few more months and Dulux over here have different colours, names and even the paint formulation is different. I did ask for a colour chart to be sent over here but no answer as yet.
We want very pale clours with a hint of green or lilac, or lemon not solid colour.
Cheers
I'll do one better for you..... here is Dulux Australia's colour specifier.
Trust me, I have the best monitor's and graphic cards in my computer so I see colour fairly perfectly on my screens, I see the colours just about what they are in life.

Have a peep through, let me know if you need help, this is more important than your flooring at the moment.
Thanks , will go have a look.
Hi Michelle,
I would like to paint my internal walls with Dulux Russian Toffee. I'm not sure if it is going to be too dark. I have good lighting in the house, high ceilings & quite big rooms.
The flooring downstairs is very light beige tiles . Kitchen cupboards are in " sand " gloss & Silestone unsui( similar to caesarstone ginger).
The stairs & upstairs flooring going to be dark wood ( something like chocolate). I'm worried yo use hog bristle since many people said it throws yellow undertone which I'm worried. If I use half strength Russian Toffee, would it be too pale?
Hoping to get your advice please.
Hi Michelle! We are planning to use Dulux Ghosting on all walls. Do you recommend using the same for the ceiling, cornices, and skirting? Or should we go for something lighter? We are going to use the following laminate and carpet for the floor:

And the following tiles in the bathrooms:

Thanks, Michelle!

Wow sorry redpixel.... I didn't get notification on your question!!

Although Ghosting is quite light I would still recommend white for the ceiling, just to bounce light down onto you dark - ish flooring

Can you give me some suggestions for this facade? It will have a color bond roof with eaves and cladding as pictured. I would like to try and make the house as energy efficient as possible which would mean a light colored roof. I like the bricks but don't think they will go with a lighter colored roof.

Thank you!

cant decide.....morning.

I'll try and have a look over this in the next couple of days.
Hi Michelle,
Just wondering what internal wall colour you would recommend with Belga grey floor tiles and shale grey windows. We have ancient teak cabinets in the kitchen? We were originally going to go caspet quater but thought it might look boring?
Any help is much appreciated

All the best with your build!
Hi Michelle,

I am stuck with colors for my exterior. I will need to choose two colors. One color is for the main of whole house and the other for the feature wall up on the balcony (or others parts you think will suit) I have also changed my balcony to frameless glass balustrade so you will see more of the feature wall up on the balcony.

Thanks heaps in advance.
Annie.

I'm a little behind in here, sorry everyone I've been busy.

Just to keep this thread up to date....who still needs colour help?
