awww - we don't have a port-a-loo yet
I want a port-a-loo!!!
It’s amazing what makes people happy!
LMAO
I love progress! Wish I was at portaloo stage... Cant wait.
It seems to me with all the beautiful trees around your home will have a nature outlook from every window. Tranquil!
Wishing you a speedy and smooth build
Raz
Beautiful porta-loo......I wish we had one
What a lovely lush setting you have....you must be so excited that it,s all going to happen soon
Good luck with it all
Mel
Yay!
I knew only you guys would understand my port-a-loo excitement!
It's a lot less green than it was before demolition but I'm surrounded by blue gums and as soon as I move in I'll get to work on my native gardens. I'm aiming for no lawn, no way I'm going to mow, I'd rather tend to the vegies and native gardens.
My Site Supervisor called today to say my site prep is done, a week ahead of schedule!
My retaining wall man is going to swing by tomorrow and have a look, and can start pretty much straight away. He still hasn't given me a quote yet (said I'd get it this afternoon). I'm nervous. If its under $5k I'll grumble, under $2k I'll dance the polka and somewhere in between I'll be happy enough.
PS I did peek inside, the curiosity was too much, it was nice + clean because no workers had been onsite yet!
PPS Raz Brittany and Melanie, I expect to see your port-a-loo pics too!!
Hooray!
Site prep complete, one week early.

Its exciting because I can see where the rooms will be!
Still no joy with the retaining wall man though. It will go right up the left hand side, then across the back about 1/2 way. The concrete man is ready to go so as soon as the wall is in, he can go to work too!
wow you do look like your house is in some lush tropical island with the banana tree in the background! how long would it be before completion?
Long time no post, but there has been progress.
2 weeks ago they did my waffle pad

And today, oh my god I can't believe it after everything... A SLAB!!

You probably cant see in those pics but the deep edge beam is deeper than I am.
Also you can see my $20k retaining wall in the background. Its still not engineer certified (hassles with the landscaper, he did a bit of a ******* job but is going to fix it)
Hooray
Will try and write my name into the slab tomorrow morning
CANT BELIEVE IT
Congratulations on your slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How very very exciting. its gonna be fast track all the way from here.
Slabs are wonderful things.!
Hope your landscaper will do all the right things by you.
Raz
Ditto with the congratulations re the slab - love the greenery around your block. Looks like a beautiful peaceful setting

Glad you all approve of my tiles! They were all included in the standard range except for the large one I'm using for the main area floor tiles which I have to pay for myself. And I pay a little bit of wastage charge for the wallpaper effect tile.
Love the feature tiles for both bathrooms. great win with them being in the standard tile allowances.
