Mine as I said earlier its 09.03.16 for settlement.

The letter from the vendor did not have any dates but I guess the two weeks is in the contract. Counting 2 weeks the due date is 9 March 2016.

I really think that is something your solicitor should be able to tell you.
We paid stamp duty, a reduced rate due to the nature of new house & land, but all that was organised by our solicitor.

You need to pay stamp duty on the land and that is definitely something your solicitor should have advised you on. Like YorkHenderson mentioned you will get a concession ($5000). You can use http://stampduty.calculatorsaustralia.com.au/stamp-duty-nsw to calculate your stamp duty.

Oh no!! The solicitor is just discussing this to me now.. Looks like he did not know or missed this one. I hope we will not be penalised for not paying this stamp duty before.
As a first home buyer because i decided to build i get a concession discount on stamp duty, however due to the guidelines on the OSR website you will need to pay it before hand, i paid stamp duty 4months ago.
