They sent it through email so we could confirm all the placements
Yours has no outlets marked - that's a bit odd

And what is the fan control unit?
Where did you get your plan from may I ask? Ours has all the outlets marked too!

The fan coil unit is the indoor component of the air conditioner. It's in the roof space.

Our AC has the return air grille in the hallway on the other side of the activity desk.

Nope because I specifically wanted the control pad in the main living room which is why I asked about it. I was told it can change when ac contact us!

I'm sure MDJ will sort this tho as they have been quite good at sorting things so far.

That is the EXACT place I want it moved to

Also the place the aircon specialist recommended

Hopefully that can happen for us!

You might want to keep on top of that as We were told that We would be contacted about our A/C install with regards to Zones etc before they started but they just went ahead & set it up without any more of our input. No big deal for us as We are happy with the outcome but it could have been nasty if you had a particular way you wanted it & didn't get the chance to have your say.
The big grill in the roof doesn't do much for Me but I'll get used to it.

Oh yeh...our oven was installed yesterday. Cant wait to test out that bad boy!

Creedy.

Hi Creedy

Love the photos. Your house is looking great.
What colour are your kitchen cupboards? Are you doing floor coverings after handover or through McDJ?

All this talk about aircon- we haven't had a phone call from our guys yet so am assuming that will happen as we too will prob add a vent or two !
Painters well and truly started today- first coat all the way through- am so happy with the tombstone colour ( certainly not as beige as I thought)
Pipes outside started being painted monument- all coming together

Getting close now CWiseman. Can't wait to see some photos of the outside painting. Did you go Manhattan also? Is your tiling nearly finished?

Thanks CathyLeigh, the kitchen cupboards are Formica 'Deep Anthracite'. We are installing Genesis 'Equinox' Bamboo after handover.
Went out to the block Yesterday & caught the S/S on his way out after doing his inspection, Internal clean was completed & it looks great with all the window stickers finally removed. Site clean up due on Friday, Fence comes down on Monday, Area Manager inspection next Week, PCI then Handover. Not long now!!

That is awesome Creedy. I bet you can't wait to get your hands on those keys. I think your house will come together beautifully with that flooring. We are going to do all our flooring after handover also. We are having a grey and white kitchen and that is why I was curious of the colour of your cupboards. We have chosen Formica "Storm" gloss which they will have to colour match because we are having 2 pack. Our build still has started yet. Waiting on plans to come out of Council. We will get there, eventually!!!!

Decided to go through our color selection again tonight and discovered something odd.

The air con pipe cover is different to our down pipe colour! Is that right? Or should they match?

Can anyone confirm if the aircon pipe colour should match our down pipe colours.

Would like to let our CLO know asap.

Nat and Dan, we haven't received the A/C plan. This was on our contract plans.

For those with coffered ceiling how did you manage your AC outlets?
We have been given our AC plan today and just curious as to how others managed this?

I could be wrong but don't they offer those side vents - like a smaller bar slot vent that goes in the side.
I know they have those in the display homes with the coffered ceilings.
Hi everyone....we have just encountered our first building problem.
I've also posted in another forum as I'm wondering if anyone has any advice...

last year when we signed off on our plans we reduced the media room by approx 40mm. MJH asked us to do this in order to comply with setback requirements. Our original plans had the recess for the TV perfectly centred in the media room, revised plans did not. Unfortunately, we didn't even notice until the contractor putting in our speakers rang us and told us he could not install speakers due to the recess being too far to one side. We talked to our SS and he said basically too bad, you signed off on the plans. We can fix it but there's the usual hefty admin fee plus the cost of fixing the problem.

Looking through our contract I think we have no remedy. I'm just annoyed as it is very hard to see on the plans that the recess is not centred in the room. I guess we just presumed it would be centred. We didn't ask for this change so of course we were not specifically looking out for it on the plans. I know the builders were just following the plans but in this case common sense did not prevail and we are now stuck with a recess that is completely off centre.

Any views on whether we can remedy this with the builder without incurring ridiculous charges?

Suggest you chat to the CLO and try to get them to understand the issue. I too would have logically thought that if they shorten the room, they would naturally balance out the internals.
Mind you, they are already aware of your concern, as they monitor this site very closely.
OK bronte builders, our air con saga has begun

The air con guy was great but it appears the option t change vents and add more if needed is not really an option.

I asked about the rectangle vents in the cofferred ceiling to be told that probaby cant be done unless MJH knew thats where we wanted them at the start- how can MJH possibly know where we wanted them when we are almost at PCI and we saw our first AC plan yesterday!!!

So if admin is reading this I ask the question- how would we possible know this???? We pay thousands for a feature ceiling and its not really ideal to put an air con vent smack in the middle of it is it??? We werent even putting lights in the ceiling- the whole point of a raised feature ceiling.

So call me if you wish, am more than happy to discuss it.

Have emailed our CLO to find out the solution to hopefully get back to the air con people ASAP so they too know where they stand as AC is to be installed next week.

KNew this good run had to come to an end at some point- so frustrating the lack of communication. Surely at the plan meetings your CLO would say- now you have chosen this aircon system, have you thought about your vent placement considering you have a coffered ceiling.

The whole part of the Bronte is the great room. I know Im ranting and its only an Aircon system but I am so gutted about it all. Hopefully will get a response soon and go from there
The aircon situation is redicukous

Ours is still yet to be resolved and I will be texting my CLO in a minute regarding this as it's very concerning

We were told the same as you Cwiseman, all could be altered added and changed through aircon company.

I hope it can be fixed quickly for you!

Hey guys I can't remember who has an ironstone roof, just wondering what gutters, trims and eaves you went with and if they worked out as nice as you wanted??? And pics would be awesome... Cheers
