Was in OPT this morning to have a quick look around before the PCI, guess what garage door was half opened and when i just touched it and all of sudden door was up in the air just like welcoming me come inside but I was bit reluctant to go inside with the fear of alarm but lucky there was no bips bips so I took the risk and went inside and found carpet supposed to be done Thursday last week but no there was no carpet yet, no mirrors in bathrooms, no melamine shelves anywhere as yet. Yes PCI is still coming Thursday.

We loved the tiles we chose, can't believe they will end up like this.

This is the basin P at HOG has gifted in place of what we ordered but I will still love to have the originals with over the benchtop not the insec ones like this.

I still wouldn't be happy that install job is a mess, I would hang my head in shame if I left a wiring job like that.

Im a little concerned about the gaps above our windows and stacker doors, and laundry doors. Can anyone share any pics of how they cover this up. Been reading along and i think it was rouse that was concerned, and its something to do with brick courses, we have nearly 3/4 brick height of gap

I asked our SS yesterday about our gap like that Renski and he said they use colorbond the same colour as the door frame. I am assuming he meant a generic metal strip, not necessarily specifically a colorbond product. He said they also to it to any gaps around windows.

Thanks for that Cyclo. The window gaps are smaller i guess im thinking it wont be as noticable, but the stacker door ones look huge. Would of looked so much better with a course of bricks above them i already dislike the infill panel on the garage door, wish it was brick but they wanted $1000 for a row of bricks and a lintel. Looks like now my stacker doors will get something similar too

I have the same -

We had PCI on Friday and it was a bit of a disappointment. Our settlement is booked in for this Friday but not feeling confident it will happen. Here are the issues we have.

. complete items marked in blue tape (this includes the wall under the kitchen feature window where the plaster is chipped - the stove is to be installed in front of this wall)

. complete items marked in green tape (Tyrells inspection)

. complete house clean

. complete spot clean of brickwork and garage

. epoxy coat garage slab (the garage should have been cleaned out a few days ago but our SS did not have time - can't understand why he has to do this)

. complete trimming to roof tiles over box gutter

. complete sealing of driveway

. complete shower screen install

. check colour of grout main floor entry to kitchen (this was done on Saturday)

. replace brick in ensuite sill and fix garage pier - the third garage door cannot be opened (bricklayer turned up last Saturday but had no key to enter garage)

. reset garage door

. replaced chipped tile to bath hob (this was done on Saturday)

. supply winder handle for Bed 1 window

. check scratches on stairs

The shower screens were to be installed on Thursday but due to a cracked tile in the main bathroom (which wasn't there before) this didn't happen. The tile has been fixed so hopefully the shower screen installer can come back. Don't know what happened to the shower screen in the ensuite but it still hasn't turned up. I am hoping for lots of action this week.

Hassanbegg - a few questions. What does it say exactly on your colour selection sheet? Did you pay extra for the upgrade package? If so, do you have the booklet that was offered with the upgrade package? Are you building a Lifestyle series home?

We chose from prestige series and yes paid extra$5890 for a upgrade package
On color sheet it says

Ok, this is what is says exactly on my colour selection sheet Carboni above counter (1 tape hole). Does not mention "II". maybe that is the difference.

This is what I have found on the caroma site. It seems you have this one http://www.caroma.com.au/bathrooms/basi ... nset-basin. Seems like there are few styles of Carboni II basins. My colour selection sheet mentions above counter. It seems like your sheet does not mention what type ie. above counter, inset, semi recessed, etc

Thanks heathcote35, yes that's what the confusion is created by P at HOG. If I chose inset which she claims then it must be mentioned in the paper work also. She mixed up with both by not mentioning above or inset. Having PCI Thursday morning not sure what they are going to do but wife is happy with the current ones.
