Window double glazing retrofit

Hi folks
After some advice
We have bought a heritage listed house in Sydney on a busy intersection. We want to get windows double glazed. Likely have to use existing timber windows, but happy to change if cheaper. There are bay windows.
Have read a bit about retrofit etc but would appreciate advice/recommendations from others who have done same.

Thanks
Did you get this done? There's a crowd here in Tassie called Unique Doors and Windows - they did ours 3 sided bay window for 2 grand in timber, double glazed. Probably another 500 to fit

You need to look at new windows because the windows and hardware will not be deigned to take the heavier and wider double glazed units. It may be possible to use aluminium windows provided they match the design of the timber ones.
We got it done by thermawood in Sydney. They were good. Sound has decreased significantly. Very expensive of course but they did a good job rebalancing the windows also.
Great result
