Pivot doors have traditionally been used for big heavy doors. They

generally add a significant cost to carry the load. The ideal affordable use for pivot doors is to use them for all internal residential doors. They work well for bedrooms, bathrooms, laundries, robes and closets. There are potential savings fo over $100.00 per door if you get the detailing right. The big saving is in the paint trade. This is what they do in Europe for ages already. Plus the doors to the full height up until the ceiling is a new trend

Alexp79, Thank you for the interest. The European pivot hardware, particularly the German and Italian gear, is very expensive. The pivot hardware I'm talking about is made in the Banana Republic of Canberra and costs close to $22.00 per pivot set (plus postage). They are ideal for flush panel, honeycomb core, Bunnings doors at under $50.00.
