Fireplace/Mantelpiece

Just wondering roughly how much a mantelpiece would cost as I've looked through a lot of websites and they don't show the pricing I'm assuming this is because it's quite expensive.

I'm after a Victorian Style Mantelpiece. Please check out this link and this is exactly what I'm after(similiar to this anyway).

Tried salvage yards for recycled ones?

You don’t get pricing because everyone has a different type in mind, so it’s hard to put a definite pricing on their websites.

You will have to ask PD what they will charge for what you want.

Good tip, recycled ones aren't that pricey.....considered what you get in terms of quality

Anywhere from $500 to $1000 for a good new wood mantle. Around $2K to $3K for a decent marble one. Then there's the insert - probably around $500. And you'll need a hearth - usually tiles. They can be anywhere from $200 up depending on what you get and how much area you want to cover. Granite slabs at about $500 look good. Then there's accessories etc
