i am building a PD lifestyle house at the moment, i remember some of us in the forum installed Brivis ICE add on cooling provided by PD so i ask them to quote Brivis ICE to mine, but this Wed my CSC tell me they only source Bonaire now, so my question are:
1) does anyone still got Brivis ICE from PD lifestyle recently? e.g. you signed your tender within March-April 2008
2) is Bonaire add on cooling performing well ? it seems to me Brivis ICE is more popular in term of add on refrigerated cooling, anyone has Bonaire add on cooling in your home?
3) should i insist on using Brivis ICE?does this mean they have to change the heating unit from Bonaire to Brivis ?
thank you
Damon
PD lifeStyle only source Bonaire now?

Hmm I will be interested in this too...
I asked for a quote for refridgerated aircon as DH will not have evap cooling and I was told around $12,000, I didn't ask what brand/model though...
Is the Bonaire not refridgerated?? I'm very interested in this as there is no way we would build with PD if they don't offer some form of refridgerated a/c

hi Haywgl,
Bonaire does provide add on refrigerated cooling under their "reverse cycle air con" series, may be Bonaire is just more famous doing evaporative,
they call it "Dual cycle air conditioning"
see this link:
http://www.bonaire.com.au/gasheating/du ... ult.aspx?a
seems to me the energy efficient rating (EER) for cooling is acceptable for a 14.7Kw unit rated at 2.77 ( 3.5 satrs?)
but would like to know more about the word of mouth for Bonaire add on cooling
by the way what is DH?

I'm hoping it's Dear Husband...otherwise I've been misreading a lot of posts...and as a DH I might be in for a rude shock....

I answer to both...I know my place...
Thanks Damon,
Yes sorry - DH is 'Dear Husband' (although at times I don't feel like calling him that )
That's good they do refridgerated - that is a major want/need in our home
Haven't heard much about Bonaire doing it - will check out the site and try and get some reviews

i have got the answer now.
it depends on which office you are dealing with, my PD lifestyle office is dealing with someone who only do Bonaire and Vulcan but not brivis so there we go. but down the track PD office may change heat & cool contractor so later on they may be only sourcing other particular brand
