insulation in walls

hi,
i have 3.5 185mm thick insultion and am thinking of using it in my internal walls. Will it cause a problem over time with buldging the plaster?
cheers
Your insulation will only have an 'R' value if it is uncompressed so there is no point in adding thicker insulation than the space available.
185mm insulation squashed into a normal stud wall might see the plasterboard popping off the walls.

That said I wasn't very happy with the 90mm R2.0 wall batts we used in our current home and am looking at Thermaloc or a similar system for our next build.

Hebel Flooring PLUS Insulation or Not?

General Discussion

1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it
