Are wooden blinds a good or bad insulator?

But Bella unfortunately wooden blinds will not, According to the Building Energy Rating System (BERS), which is a program designed to rate the energy effectiveness of your home like they do on washers and fridges, rating your house from 0 to 5 stars.

Having the Close-fitting, heavy drapes or blinds, or double-glazed windows are only the first step thought. You really need to use them correctly to maximise their effectiveness. For example, open your drapes during the day to allow your floor and walls to absorb the heat of the sun, as afternoon sets in then close all the drapes and allow your home to slowly release the heat gathered during the day and with the drapes closed trapping the heat in.

I think I am slowly drifting away from the wooden blind idea in favour of curtains. Just have to find some that don't look daggy.

assuming those plastic vertical blinds are right out?
