Rinnai Energysaver gas heaters

Couldn't find any posts about these, so wondering if anyone has one of these installed? If so, how do you find it?
My mother has a similar thing installed and it is fantastic, really quick to heat up and relatively cheap to run.
At the moment we are tossing up between ducted heating and one of these plus panel heaters in bedrooms and bathrooms. We don't have the clearance in the roof or under the house for ducted heating to the main living area and don't want to put it in just the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Any advice or recommendations are appreciated

These are very good. The can be installed with the flue straight out the wall, under the floor or up through the roof. If you want a plug and play option then the avenger is a great option. It heates upto around 100m2 and because they are flueless they put a little bit of fumes in the air but not much at all. The only way this would be a concern is if you have a really bad asma sufferer in the house. Poloma PG711 is a great option too. they are alomost exactly the same in terms of feature, they also have a five year warranty and are made in japan. They also have been rated best gas heat by Choice many years ni a row, but this doesnt mean that much. they are usually cheaper than the avenger by a few hundred dollars too. If you want a fixed flued option the Engersavers are really good.

not too keen to have an unflued gas heater, but we are definitely considering the energysaver options. I'm surprised there are no other posts about these (that I could find) as they seem an excellent and cheaper (to run) alternative than a split system for those who are unable to get ducted.

Yeah no worries. They are very good but not very popular for some reason. I work at a heating and cooling shop over in perth and I have sold 2 in the year I have been here. I'm not sure why more people dont go for them. Your right they are alot cheaper to run than a split and the heat is a much nicer heat too. Not so dry and drafty. I guess the people who want a flued heater normally go for a gas log fire and the ones who dont go for the avenger, but the energy savers are much more efficient than both.
