Karndean looselay vinyl planks - any good?

Wish the sales people at shop and Karndean had been honest, asked this very question many times over. It's all just about the money. Makes me sick.

We will be building this year some time I hope and will also be using The Karndean loose lay planks.....
Has anyone had any experience with this product in the bathrooms......especially in the wet areas?
Now I've heard its good for bathrooms but how far into the bathroom?, we will be having a section with an open glass wall approx. 3x 2.5m, a sort of wet room with shower and bath positioned in this area so lots of water on the floors with the appropriate drainage and incline towards long drain channels.
Can the Karndean live in such a wet environment or do I stop at the glass panel and continue with ceramic tiles so go old school?
This house is an open canvas and we're trying a few different things with an open mind on style and practicality ......even Karndean on the walls maybe? (well maybe just 1-2 walls !)

I was just wondering what size dogs you have? We're looking at putting down a looselay (Kenbrock) but apparently has a similar wear layer as Karndean - I have been assured by the flooring store that 2 dogs a cat and a toddler are no match for vinyl flooring - am and now second guessing!

We currently have laminate and I hate it so thought vinyl would be a nice comprise between DIY convenience and on-going maintenance of real timber.

If it's a no to vinyl I'm running out of options!

Just a quick update. Floor looking as bad as ever. 2 years and 3 months. We are basically going to let it go to ruin further and then if we sell up we will replace the worst parts.
Please remember it wasn't th Looselay we ended up using, it was the Van Gogh. Still adore the colour and look but can't stand the by now thousands of scratched. Another thing I've never mentioned I believe, is that very odly when looking at the floor in the light it looks like it's covered it wet paw prints. Would love to know if anyone else has noticed this.? It's the walnut colour. Seeing I have dogs (now just one ) it is very fitting but also always looks dirty somehow

Two years down we only have one minor scratch which we can hardly see, our biggest issue with the floor is with it not being properly levelled, though not as bad as yours was from what I remember!! I don't know if it is the pattern on ours 'Classic Oak' in the Van Gogh range that has hidden scratches... But we also don't have animals which might make a difference. I am waiting to see how things go once we have a little person around!!

I have exact same planks Serialbuilder however havent noticed paw prints and only scratches we have are in kids play area but they arent noticeable unless sunlight is on them.

And yes it looks like paw prints, quite funny. Will try and capture it to post.
Kids don't have claws to dig in and skid across floor LeanneR lol.
Poor Bailee in her last few weeks especially struggled to get a good grip to not fall.

I have just joined in the Karndean discussion and we have had loose lay squares (rectangles) , we have laid them ourselves on the salesmans advice that it should be easy and the ad on telly shows kids doing it . Well how wrong was he . Cutting in proved to be a nightmare for a start as this a specialist tool required job and then we found that with extreme summers of 40+degrees and winters with down to zero , the tiles seemed to expand and contract .
The large room we have is 12 m x 6m and after talking to the salesman and then Karndean they admitted that as they are a European tile that perhaps they may not be suited to the South Australian weather extremes and then recommended to use the adhesive on the floor (structafloor board). Karndean certainly looked after us and supplied some adhesive and extra floor tiles free of charge , but now I have decided to use a specialist layer to do the job and I am wondering if anyone has had this done and what charges they have come up with.
I have been quoted over the phone a cost of $15/sqm plus travelling . At over 100 sqm this will add extra to what I thought was an expensive flooring , but lets hope the wear will be good and be worth it in the long run

Hi SeriealBuilder, wondering how your vinyl flooring is now? Do you have any regret installing it? Is it really hard-wearing and do you have any problem with it?
